Sassa beneficiaries, the time has come. Sassa grants will be paid this week.
The Sassa Older person grant payment date is from the 3 February 2022, with the Disbality Grant being paid from the 4 February 2022 and the other grants will be paid from the 7 February 2022.
Due to February being a short month, the original payment dates for the SRD grant has been adjusted to allow for more days for beneficiaries to collect their grant payments at their local post office. No payments will be made between the 3 February 2022 and 8 February 2022 for recipients of the special SRD Grant.
The last 3 digits of your ID number will determine the date you are allowed to collect your R350 SRD grant payement.

The SRD grant has been beneficial to millions of people in South Africa, however the SRD grant is set to come to an end at the end of March 2022. Many people have called for the special SRD grant to be extended or introduced as a permanent Basic Income Grant.
