Will You Still Get R350 Grant Payments For Past Months?

Every month, more than 10 million people benefit from the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) R350 grant. However, not all these beneficiaries have been paid for all the months they were approved for payment.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has addressed concerns from beneficiaries of the R350 grant about unpaid grants.  

They have assured beneficiaries that they will be paid for all the months they were approved for payment. 

Sassa said, “If the applicant qualifies in that month of the application, he/she will be paid for that month and the current month if they still meet the application criteria”. 

They added that payment may not necessarily be made as a double payment or in the form of a lump sum or on even the same day. The payment can be split over days or weeks. 

It's important to note that Sassa called on every R350 grant beneficiary to reapply for the R350 grant in April. This was required because the legislation under which the grant was provided to citizens changed. Read More Here
