Sassa Grant Amounts for April 2025
Here's a breakdown of the Sassa grant amounts for April 2025.
Old person Grants for people under 75 years old will be R2310 and the Older Persons Grant for people over 75 will be R2330. The War Veterans grant will be R2330, Disability grant will be R2310, the Foster care grant will be R1250, Care dependency grant will be R2310 and the Child support grant will be R560 with the Child support grant top up being R280.
The grant-in-aid will be R560 and the SRD grant payment will be R370.
SASSA SRD Grant Increase?
Those who get the Sassa SRD Grant have been hoping that there would be an increase in the grant amount. The SASSA SRD Grant was originally introduced at R350 and then it was later increased to R370.
But when the Minister of Finance announced that the SRD Grant would be continued there was no announcement in the change of amount. So there will be no SASSA SRD Grant increase yet.
SASSA Grants Paid Into Accounts
Beneficiaries can choose to have their Sassa grant be paid directly to their bank account.
Sassa grant beneficiaries can also collect their Sassa social grants at several payment points. These payment points include ATMs and retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite and Boxer stores.
Sassa has said that there is no need to rush to withdraw the Sassa money on the first day because once the money is paid, it will stay in your bank account.
