This means that all TVET college funding applications must be submitted exclusively through the myNSFAS portal during the current NSFAS 2025 application period.

To ensure a smooth application process, it's essential to align your application with the relevant academic cycle.

For 2025, TVET college students can apply during the following periods: Trimester 2, which opens on May 12th and closes on May 23rd; Semester 2, commencing on July 14th and concluding on July 31st; and Trimester 3, starting on September 8th and ending on September 19th.

It's crucial to remember that creating a profile on the myNSFAS platform is just the first step. To be considered for funding, you must complete the full application process.

Here's a guide on how to apply for NSFAS online:

  1. Click on the 'APPLY' tab and complete all the sections provided.
  2. You need to supply your own cellphone number and ID number
  3. Upload required documents where applicable - this will usually be your ID number and document - it may be your birth certificate in some circumstances.
  4. And then you click submit
