Universities Accepting Late Applications
Universities South Africa (USAf) has confirmed that the following universities will be accepting late applications for the 2025 academic year:
- Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)
- Durban University of Technology (DUT)
- Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT)
- Tshwane University of Technology (TUT)
- Rhodes University (RU)
- University of Johannesburg (UJ)
- University of Limpopo (UL)
- University of South Africa (Unisa)
- University of Zululand (Unizulu)
- Vaal University of Technology (VUT)
Walk-in Applications
In addition, three universities will be accepting walk-in applications:

Funding Your Studies
National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS)
If you need financial assistance to cover your tuition and living costs, consider applying for an NSFAS bursary. Applications for the 2025 academic year are now open and will close on 15 December 2024.
Funza Lushaka Bursary
Aspiring teachers can apply for the Funza Lushaka Bursary. This bursary covers tuition fees, accommodation, and a monthly stipend. Applications are open until 26 January 2025.
