The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) will distribute the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) R350 grant until March 2022. This means that you can still apply for the grant or have your grant application reconsidered if your initial application was rejected.

Some SRD grant recipients may have cancelled their SRD grants. This could be for a number of unique reasons. One example is if you had an income and decided to cancel your SRD grant.
If you lost that income you will now be eligible to receive the SRD grant. The information below will provide you with a step by step guide on how to reinstate your R350 SRD grant.
Follow the steps listed below to reinstate your R350 SRD grant
Step 1: Log onto the SASSA SRD website by clicking HERE
Step 2: Go to the ‘Reinstate my cancelled application’ tab.
Step 3: Insert your ID number and your mobile number
Step 4: Click ‘Send Pin’
Step 5: Wait for a One Time Pin (OTP) to be sent to you
Step 6: Enter the OTP and click verify
Step 7: Choose the reason to instate the grant (Reasons: cancelled in error, No longer have income, other)
Step 8: This message will appear - 'Are you sure you want to reinstate the grant?'. Click 'yes' to reinstate your grant.
