More than 46% of South Africa’s population are beneficiaries of a social grant and it takes a coordinated approach from the government to ensure that all of the grant beneficiaries receive their money.
The South African Post Office (SAPO) distribues grants to beneficiaries in the country. Different grants are paid on different days of the month.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) explained that this is necessary to maintain social distancing and to protect vulnerable members of the population from congestion at payment facilities. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION

Older persons grant - 3 March 2022
Disability grant - 4 March 2022
Child Support grant - 7 March 2022
It is important to note that the SRD grant, which benefits more than 10 million people, is not paid out at the post office when the above-mentioned grants are being distributed.
