The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has reassured clients that they will be paid for each month they were approved for payment.
More than 15 million applied for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD). Only 10 million of the individuals who applied for the grant were approved for payment. Many of the grant beneficiaries collect their grants from the South African Post Office (SAPO) Branch.
The SRD grant has no fixed payment date. The last three digits of your ID number determine on which days you may collect your SRD grant from the post office.
