The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) will resume with business as usual on Monday after the festive season break.

The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) will resume with business as usual on Monday after the festive season break. The fund provides crucial financial relief to contributors who are not working after losing their job or losing their income due to certain circumstances. 

The UIF has announced that all payments to contributors will resume on Monday. These include all normal UIF benefits as well as Workers Affected By Unrest (WABU) benefits and Temporary Employer/Employee Relief Scheme (TERS) benefits. 

They added that the call centre will be fully operational and various department of labour centres around the country will be open.
