It is estimated that 10 million people benefit from the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant monthly. These beneficiaries can choose where they would like to collect their R350 grant.

Clients can withdraw their R350 from the Post Office, Pick n Pay, Boxer, Checkers, Shoprite or Usave supermarkets.

However, some conditions would prevent you from collecting your grant at one of the supermarkets.

The South African Post Office (SAPO) explained that you cannot collect your R350 grant at the supermarket if your phone number was used to apply for more than one grant.

You will therefore have the option of collecting your R350 grant at a Post Office branch.

It's important to note that the R350 grant does not have a fixed payment date. The last three digits of your ID number will determine on which day you can collect your grant at the post office.
