PURPOSE OF PROGRAMMEThe purpose of this course is to give learners the knowledge, skills and the confidence to chair formal disciplinary hearings in accordance with the Company's Behavioural ProcedureTARGET LEARNERSSenior staff members expected to chair formal disciplinary hearings.PROGRAMME DURATIONOnline Option: 4x 4-hour MS Teams Sessions, with Pre-Work between sessions (over a 10-day/2-week period)Contact Option: 3x full days + Pre-WorkPROGRAMME OVERVIEWLearners achieving the course will: Outcome 1: Demonstrate an understanding of the principles related to chairing disciplinary hearings.Outcome 2: Facilitate the following aspects in a disciplinary hearing:Introductory proceedingsEmployer evidence in chiefEmployee (offender) evidence in chiefExamination including cross-examination and re-examination.Outcome 3: Make and motivate a verdict.Outcome 4: Motivate a sanction if guilty.Outcome 5: Hear an appeal
