There are many people advertising services on social media and fail to deliver what they promise.
Some of these unscrupulous individuals are using official logos from state entities to deceive potential victims.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has warned clients against applying for the ‘food parcels’ offered by the agency.
This comes after a message has been circulating on social media calling on people to apply for food parcel vouchers from Sassa.
The social media post uses the official Sassa logo with two links that people can use to register for the food parcel voucher.
Sassa said, “SASSA warns clients not to provide personal information to unknown sites. The below information is fake and does NOT come from SASSA”
