The Department of Basic Education (DBE) has announced that the 2024 matric exam results will be released earlier than initially planned. The official release date is now 14 January 2025.

How to Collect Your Matric Results

  • Direct from Your School or Exam Centre:

    • Collect your official statement of results on 14 January 2025.
    • Verify your personal details on the statement.
    • Report any errors to the DBE before 21 February 2025.
  • Online:

    • Visit the DBE website on 14 January 2025 from 6:00 AM.
    • Provide your examination number to access your results.
    • Be patient, as some results may not be immediately available due to technical issues.

Remarking and Rechecking Your Matric Exam

If you're not satisfied with your results, you can apply for a remark or recheck of your exam scripts.

Key points to remember:

  • Deadline: 31 January 2025
  • Fees:
    • Remark: R116 per subject
    • Recheck: R29 per subject
    • Script viewing: R220
  • Results: Expected from 14 March 2025
