The Cabinet has congratulated the Department of Basic Education (DBE) and the Class of 2024 for the successful conclusion of the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams. The final exams for the 2024 matric class concluded on November 28, 2024.
Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni highlighted the government's commitment to ensuring a smooth marking and results process. Over 55,000 qualified markers have been appointed to assess the 2024 matric exams at 181 marking centers across the country.

Early Release of Matric Results
Minister of Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube has confirmed that the final results will be announced on 13 January 2025. Provincial education departments will release results to candidates on 14 January 2025. This earlier release date is to accommodate the start of the 2025 school year on 15 January 2025.
