Course in the Prevention and Detection of Corruption and Procurement Fraud

The Course in the Prevention and Detection of Corruption and Procurement Fraud provides you with the requisite knowledge and skills to identify fraud and corruption, and to put mechanisms in place to prevent it from occurring, in the procurement and contracting of goods and services. The course aims to provide you with insights to procurement and contract fraud in a range of industries and the varying levels at which it occurs.

Module in Advanced Taxation (Graduate Level)

The Module in Advanced Taxation (Graduate Level) is a building block towards the Knowledge and Practical Skills components of the Occupational Certificate: Tax Professional (www.thesait.org.za). Subject to further conditions*, this module will provide credit for the taxation module BEL300 of the BCom Financial Sciences Degree presented by the University of Pretoria. For successful completion of this module, you will need to dedicate at least 400 input hours, which equate to at least 10 hours per week for the duration of the module.

Money Laundering Investigation and Detection

The short course in Money Laundering Investigation and Detection provides you with the requisite skills and knowledge to implement risk-mitigating procedures and ensure compliance with the requirements of South African anti-money-laundering legislation. Commercial crime poses a significant threat to the stability of any financial system and democratic institutions, and as such, this course looks at strategies to combat these crimes by targeting illegal proceeds and removing the profit element.

The Module in Advanced Taxation (Postgraduate Level) is a building block towards the Knowledge and Practical Skills components of the Occupational Certificate: Tax Professional (www.thesait.org.za). Subject to further conditions*, this module will provide credit for the taxation module BEL751 of the BCom (Honours) Taxation degree presented by the University of Pretoria. For successful completion of this module, you will need to dedicate at least 400 input hours, which equate to at least 10 hours per week for the duration of the module.

Asset Management and GRAP Asset Accounting

The Asset Management and GRAP Asset Accounting short course provides you with a unique training experience in order to get to grips with both aspects of asset management considerations (governance) and Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP) compliant asset registers (accounting) as accountant/ auditor. The course specifically focuses on best practices applicable to asset management and the assest lifecycle, as well as GRAP accounting requirements for recognition, measurement and disclosure of asset transactions and balances.
